What do you do in your job? What is your work like?
My job is to act as a liaison between the Board’s engineers and Permit applicants whose work might impact certain floodways in the Central Valley. The waterways of our region have a very interesting history, I recommend reading about it!
How did your UC Davis education prepare you for this work?
Economics courses, especially Game Theory, create a strong conceptual foundation for any analytical work. Being able to do research on your own is also very important in my job.
How long did it take you to get a job after graduating UC Davis?
I graduated in March 2019 and searched for several months before landing my first job. My second job search after that was even longer.
