Petitions can be submitted once you have completed at least one specialization course or have all three specialization courses planned, in progress, or completed. Note: It must be submitted by the filing to graduate deadline or by the 20th day of instruction of your graduating quarter. No late notifications can be accepted.
Process:
- Go to OASIS
- Select Forms & Petitions Tab
- Select Submit a New Form,
- Select “Change of Program Petition”
- Click first bubble that states, “Change majors(s), Degree type, or academic options
- Under the drop-down menu for Academic Options, select ONE of the specializations
- NOTE: This form will be denied if more than one is checked
- Continue to press NEXT and submit the form. You should see a form timeline under the Forms & Petitions similar to submitting an academic plan.

If you are unsure whether you are eligible to declare, we can review your coursework and confirm your progress. Please note that early submissions may be subject to change and can create complications if you later need to adjust your track. Because of this, we recommend declaring only when you are confident in your chosen specialization and your ability to complete the required coursework.
