Following the campus guidelines for Coronavirus all UC Davis classes, lectures, seminars, labs and discussion sections will move to virtual instruction and remain virtual through the end of Summer Session 2021, including final exams. Given this, the department’s administrative functions have moved to remote work conditions. To contact staff members of the department via e-mail or phone, please go to our administrative staff contact page.  We anticipate a return to campus for Fall 2021.

Staff supporting @UCDavisEcon achieve excellence amid pandemic

Despite having to balance the transition to fully remote work and the stresses of living through a global pandemic, staff supporting @UCDavisEcon strove for and achieved excellence this year. Here are some highlights:

Contracts and Grants Manager Yoke Dellenback received her Masters Degree in Research Administration from John Hopkins University.

Brandy Fleming presented at the NACADA Region 8 conference in February 2021. Her talk was titled: "AAMPlify Advisors, G.U.I.D.E Mentees: A Mentoring Program to Rejuvenate Advisors."

Undergraduate Programs Supervisor and Advisor Anya Gibson graduated from the Administrative Officers for the Future program in November of 2020. This program cultivates a diverse pool of highly talented and motivated staff interested in pursuing administrative officer positions on our campus. The program involves a 360-Degree competency-based assessment, function-based self-assessment, development planning, workshops, individual work including an analytical writing project, informational interviews, and culminates in a final group project and presentation at the end of the program.

Undergraduate Academic Advisor Joann Pyon received her Masters Degree in Education, Higher Education Leadership from California State University Sacramento in May of 2021.

Congratulations to Gibson, Dellenback, Fleming, and Pyon for their achievements amid extraordinary times!
