Kadee Russ quoted by NYT, WSJ, CNBC, BBC, Bloomberg during summer of tariffs

UCD Economics Associate Professor Kadee Russ was quoted by a variety of print, radio and television media outlets during an active summer for trade policy, drawing from her research on the impact of trade policy on consumer budgets and firm markups. After tariffs on Mexican goods imported by the United States were proposed at the end of May, she spoke with CBS Sacramento's evening news, took live call-in questions on KQED's Forum, and was quoted in Bloomberg, the New York Times, the LA Times, and VoxEU. As the summer evolved with proposals to expand and increase tariffs on a variety of U.S. imports from China, she spoke about possible effects on households and firms with CNBC online, PBS Newshour online, BBC news online, and the Wall Street Journal. She spoke more generally about tariff uncertainty and the macroeconomy with NPR's Marketplace and CNBC online.
