Giovanni Peri quoted on immigration in the New Yorker
The New Yorker recently published an article on President Trump and whether or not to extend visas to employees in the technology industry. Giovanni Peri, chair and professor in the economics department, was quoted on his research that tackles this question. Peri supports extending visas to employees in this technology industry and references Japan as an example of a tech region that has stagnated, possibly due to their strict immigration policies.
