Advising Center Mission Statement:

The Advising Center exists to cultivate a welcoming and equitable advising experience that strives to honor the diverse identities of our students. The advising team provides honest, accurate, individual guidance to enhance students’ personal, academic, and professional journeys. In addition, we support collaborative efforts with campus partners to showcase holistic ways to navigate the degree. Through these services, we seek to empower students to become individuals who actively engage in their community.


In alignment with the campus directives regarding precautions surrounding COVID-19, the Economics, History and Advising Center is now physically closed. Our advisors remain available remotely and will be offering academic advising appointments to students through phone or Zoom. Once you have scheduled your appointment in the online appointment system


Monday through Friday: 8:00 am - 12:00 pm and 1:00 - 4:00 pm

(half hour appointments via zoom or phone)

Mandatory Advising

Our goal is to help you achieve your academic and personal goals. Research has proven that interacting with academic advisers early in your university career can enhance your college success. Comprehensive advising is provided by the Letters & Sciences Dean’s Office and our Advising Center. 

How do I satisfy my Mandatory Advising Requirement? 

The Economics Undergraduate Advisors

Staff advisors are available to assist you with various student services related to the major, including academic planning, petition review, course selection, career pathway development, and special study progress. You may  for questions or concerns. Peer advisors also are available to assist you with general course planning and questions about the major.
