The Department of Economics at the University of California, Davis, seeks temporary instructors to teach in a wide range of fields each academic year.

Positions are contingent on funding and pending administrative approval. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent in Economics. Salary is based on ability and experience. Anyone interested in applying should submit their application online. We will only be accepting applications online. Submit a curriculum vitae, statement of contribution to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and evidence of teaching ability and/or two letters of reference. Applications are accepted on a continuous basis for future temporary openings. However, for first consideration for the 2022-23 academic year, please submit your application by May 1, 2022. Applicants internal to the UC Davis Department of Economics who had an appointment in 2021-2022 and apply by the “Initial Review Date” of May 1, 2022 will be considered prior to all other applicants. Only completed files will be reviewed.

The service periods for each quarter of instruction are as follows:
Fall Quarter 2022– September 21, 2022 – December 9, 2022
Winter Quarter 2023 – January 6, 2023 – March 24, 2023
Spring Quarter 2023– March 30, 2023 – June 15, 2023
