@UCDavisEcon Katherine Eriksson wins prestigious grant, cited in media

@UCDavisEcon Professor and Economic Historian Katherine Eriksson awarded grant from the National Science Foundation for an ambitious new project documenting and analyze local economic fluctuations on financial health of US residents and firms 1865-2021.

Eriksson's historical research allows her to provide context for a range of modern issues. She drew parallels between the US economy during the pandemic and the aftermath of the Great Depression for the LA Times. The New York Times called on her to get an historian's perspective on the mystery of correlation in economic growth across party presidencies.
