573 Aggies Graduate with Majors in Economics

The 2018-2019 academic year saw 573 extraordinary Aggies graduate with majors in Economics this year.

The Economics Department hosted its Undergraduate Awards ceremony, hosted by Chair and Professor Giovanni Peri and Undergraduate Program Chair and Associate Professor of Teaching Janine Wilson.

The ceremony honored 10 graduating Economics majors for top major GPAs, five for successfully completing an Honors Thesis, and one student for winning and completing internship work under the March Family Scholarship for Internships.  The ceremony also honored our two incredible department peer advisors.

The undergraduate Economics program was fortunate to have the continued support of a fantastic advising staff led by Director Anya Gibson, with Cindy Alvarenga, Christina Halliwell, and Katherine Ampaw organizing events throughout the year to keep Economics majors on track to Graduation.

Our graduates are heading off to law schools, masters programs in public policy or data analytics, teaching programs abroad, employment at consulting firms, firms in the finance industry, as well as taking paths that they are continuing to explore.
